BioAnalysis is proud to announce that it has been named to the 2025 Inner City 100 (IC100), earning the number 11 spot on this year’s national list. The Inner City 100 is the annual ranking of the fastest-growing businesses headquartered in under-resourced communities across the United States, presented by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC).
Now in its 27th year, the Inner City 100 celebrates companies that serve as engines of job creation and economic opportunity in the communities they call home. Founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter, ICIC has recognized high-growth businesses through the IC100 since 1999. This year’s honorees span 21 industries and reported an average of 435% revenue growth over four years.
“Small businesses are changemakers in every sense of the word,” said Steve Grossman, CEO of ICIC. “They are building companies, creating jobs, strengthening neighborhoods, and driving innovation in their communities. We are proud to celebrate these extraordinary IC100 Award-winning businesses leading the way.”
For BioAnalysis, the recognition carries a deeper meaning. As a collaborative research organization based in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood, BioAnalysis was built to deliver rigorous analytical science for gene therapy and biotherapeutics programs while creating real opportunities in the life sciences for the local community. Being ranked among the nation’s fastest-growing companies in under-resourced communities affirms a core belief: scientific excellence and community impact can grow together.
“This recognition reflects what we set out to build from day one: a science-driven company rooted in its community. Growing BioAnalysis here in Kensington while advancing gene therapy analytics for clients around the world is exactly the kind of impact we want to have,” said Lake N. Paul, Founder and CEO of BioAnalysis.
As an IC100 honoree, BioAnalysis joins ICIC’s national network of high-growth companies, gaining recognition and access to a community of business leaders and resource partners. The full 2025 list is available at icic.org/ic100winnerslist.
